Japan national flag carrier JAL has started providing free insurance coverage for all international travelers. As per the airlines, With collaboration with Allianz Travel, JAL will be providing the coverage, covering the costs of the travelers who will be tested positive for Covid-19 during traveling.

The coverage, provided by Allianz Travel, covers coverage up to US$180,000 of medical costs. The coverage provides the initial testing fee and subsequent treatment inclusive of isolation costs and supplement travel costs for returning home.

The insurance coverage will be for any travel by JAL airlines begins travel between Dec. 23, 2020, and June 30, 2021. The coverage will be valid starting the day of travel and valid for 31 days from or either expires once a passenger returns to their country of residence.

JAL is providing coverage to all travelers on international flights operated and marketed by the carrier.

Earlier many other airlines issued the package of insurance coverage. Emirates, Etihad, Air Arabia Cathay Pacific, Virgin Atlantic, and other global airlines all provide Covid-19 insurance free of charge.
