With the pandemic effect in world tourism, Viking Cruises has decided to cancel all sailing until December 2020. The Viking Cruise company had suspended its operations on 11th March 2020 to curb against the spread of COVID-19.

The Company issued the press released on their website as, In that spirit, we have made the decision to extend our temporary suspension of operations across all scheduled departures through December 31, 2020.

Viking Cruise chairman Torstein Hagen had issued the recorded video message and given the messages to the travelers.

During his video statement, he said, “As keen as we may be to get back to exploring, for now, international travel must wait, I have said before that we will only sail again when it is safe to do so. We are a private, closely-held company, which means we do not have to rush the decision to return to service.”

All the reservation remains canceled and the Cruise company is providing the option for 125 % Future Cruise Voucher or the refund can be requested for full on or before 24th August through their website.

During this month, there has been few up’s and down in the cruise tourism. Hurtigruten Cruise ship has been hit by the Covid-19 which remains the cruise to be canceled until further notice. Also, Princess Cruise has canceled their sailing until mid of December. However, the MSC cruise is starting its operations from Mid of August.
