After the suspension of all the flights since march 24 2020, Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation on Friday said, they are planning to resume all domestic and international flights begin from 1st of August 2020.

Nepal had suspended all the domestic and international flights on the 24th of March as precautionary measures to fight against Covid-19. According to MOCTCA, Nepal Civil Aviation has already prepared themselves to resume the Domestic and International flight as per the standard set by the International Civil Aviation and World Health Organization.

MOCTCA Secretary Mr. Kedar Bhattarai said that ” The Ministry is planning to resume Domestic and International Flights from August by taking all stakeholders into confidence. The flight will resume with health and safe distancing measures in place.”

Currently, all commercial flights have been canceled until July 05th, 2020. During the closure of the Airport, the Civil aviation has completed the renovation of the Domestic and International Airport along with the extension of the runway from 3000 Meters to 3300 Meters.
