With the increase in the air travel demand and the schedule flights, Southwest Airlines is reducing its cleaning and disinfecting procedure in their flights.
With beginning of this month, the airline has started to disinfect only the sensible high touching areas like laboratories of the flights. The less sensible areas as tray tables, seat belts, arm rest will not be disinfected between the flights.
The changes in the policy will help the airlines to reduce the downtown time between the flights. However, the airline had announced last week on testing passenger temperature with thermal cameras at select airports. However, all Customers are requested to use sanitizing wipes if they wish to disinfect their space on the airplane before sitting down.
