The government of Madagascar has announced that the island of Nosy is opening for international travel begins of 1st October 2020.
Fascene Airport, Nosy Be will be welcoming the international visitors. With the opening of the border, all traveler must adhere to the health measure provided by the Government.
All International visitors need to perform the necessary health checks and testing during arrival. The passengers are mandatory to provide the negative Covid-19 test report during arrival and must process through health screening places at the airports and ports of entry. All the travelers need to mandatory stay in 14 days quarantine.
Also, travelers are required to present their return air ticket and are not permitted to travel outside of Nosy Be.
The government is providing free visa extensions for the travelers in case of the suspension of the flights and due to any travel restrictions.
Domestic travel within Madagascar resumed in September 2020 with international travel expected to resume when Ivato International Airport in Antananarivo reopens for international visitors. Ethiopian Airlines is currently flying into the destination.
Currently, Madagascar has recorded a total of 15871 cases until today’s date with the death recorded to 215. USA citizens are not allowed to enter Island as of now.
