With the announcement two days before of reopening of the Walt Disney World Orlando, Walt Disney Co Hong Kong announced the re-closing of the park from July 15 due to a rising number of coronavirus cases in the Chinese-ruled city. Hong Kong Disneyland was reopened in June after the closure. However, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels will remain open with enhanced health and safety measures.

Disney spokeswoman said, “As required by the government and health authorities in line with prevention efforts taking place across Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland park will temporarily close from July 15,”

Hong Kong recorded 48 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, with a total of 333 active cases, according to health authorities. Hong Kong has reported a total of 1,570 cases and a total of 8 death case until Tuesday.

Hong Kong has put strict measures of social distancing amid of chances on the 3rd wave of coronavirus infections. The government has limited gatherings up to four people from 50.
